    "Das Wandern" (a Picnic/ Hiking) is a song from the operette "schöne Müllerin" (The lovely Mrs. Miller). It's a German song and based on a composition by the Austrian composer Franz Shubert. Hiking & Wandering is always Miller's desire; that's his real joy.
    While the Miller hikes around the beautiful countryside sightseeing, he sings about the things he left at his work, the milling wheels, the grinding stones and the ever-flowing water in the stream. He uses wind and/or water- all renewable, and natural resources to turn the wheels of the rotating turbines. Though the Millers are always held at their mill, they do actually wish to be able to pursue their pastime of picnic & sightseeing in the beautiful Alpine valleys. They would rather merrily and happily follow the dream if it were possible.... but,.....
