It's a Parody song in Malayalam
of the internationally well known Kosackan song by Cymeneski titled "lovely Minka".
it's an intriguingly beautiful song. I want my Malayalee compatriots also enjoy it in an everyday context. I had to spend an enormous amount of time and effort to accomplish this goal; especially to type it in the Malayalam script and finding the appropriate words for it.
Serendipitously, it helped me with a few other songs. "Kathreena" & " Ille Njanoru swapnam Kande" are the likes of this you can find on this website.
A village carpenter in my village was offered a contract labor work in a Gulf country. His wife Kayani is not too enthused about it. Since her marriage at 13 years old, she has never spent a day or night without her husband, who is respectfully known in the village as "Nanu Panikkan" (Nanu, the village carpenter). Kalyani became very distraught and began yelling hysterically, making a lot of noise and tantrums like an immature child. Her parents were summoned to advise and reassure Kalyani.
Village carpenters are always preoccupied with their occupation. No nonsense craftsmen. They never indulge in any unnecessary habits, drinking, gambling or any of that sort. They work dawn to dusk and some more at home. People have a great appreciation for such great work ethics and discipline.
The passersby, mainly the patronizing 'Communist party activists' who interfere in everything and everybody's affairs came to listen to all the commotions taking place inside the house; decided they need no invitation to intervene. Malayalees do not wait for an invitation or prompt to commit themselves, especially for a noble cause. But, it upset and angered Kalyani even more. She told them off and charged them out of the premises with sticks and sharp wood carving tools. it was widely known that Kalyani is a hot-tempered woman, but not obnoxious at all. Eventually, good sense will prevail upon her and she will meekly calm down. She 'll be angelic and congenial again when less stressful conditions prevail.
The folks gathered outside her fence, although being pelted by stones was a real possibility. They began singing this song in a chorus. They tell her about all the good things and financial rewards that her family may come to enjoy; that the good fortune will provide them for a comfortable living in the future without poverty or other deprivations.
given the fact that the political party will get a handsome 'cut' out of it!
The music video (shone Minka) is now available on Youtube channel: Aurora Bobbyalis
Varume Nalloru Nall! (lyrics)
Her elderly parents and the wise people in the village are trying hard to tell Kalyani that how the good days of tomorrow will look like if her husband could accept that well-paying job offer in one of the Gulf countries.
