He wanted to take it right away and bring it home surprising everyone. He imagines all the good things that are going to happen afterward. Definitely, it will look good on his daughter. Her face will brighten, the earring will glean under the suspended oil lamp; they will make sweet sounds of the jingling bells as she walks around. The jealous neighbors will notice when they come for the Eid feast. They will take a good look at the new ornament Sabina is wearing and will come to admire the beauty and charm of his daughter. They will bring many suitors and coveted proposals. He and his wife will choose the very best man for her out of the many who shall come, and will enjoy seeing them living together happily ever after!. All in the family will feel very happy!. That's quite an exciting and secret dream of the simple-minded butcher!
