    I composed this music many years ago for my baby boy. It was my very first attempt at composing. He has been stubbornly reluctant to go to sleep; instead wanted to spend time with his mom & dad, the only people he knew. Also, he didn't want to be alone in the crib in another room, though he had several toys and greatly enjoyed playing with them.
    I had to keep my head straight and perform well at my first job. So, it became peremptory that I find some means to lull him and induce much-needed sleep in a very gentle, pleasing, and natural manner. To my great disappointment and embarrassment, he started crying upon hearing my tediously and lovingly composed lullaby. I regretted it is not good enough for the intended purpose. The thought actually lead me to search for well-known lullabies composed by classical composers.
    As a result, the "Wiegenlied"  by Mozart and another Wiegenlied by Johannes Brahms can be found on this site as also a few other lesser-knowns. They are shown under the category "lullaby". Mothers shall find them quite useful!. When I first used it as a piece of background music in the concluding Television "sign-off" video, our viewers felt nostalgic recollections about their own childhood and responded with rave reviews.
    Well, four years later, my wife and I were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. In order to welcome her with equal love, affection, and joy, quite dutifully,  I composed another lullaby as lovingly and painstakingly for her, as I did for our firstborn baby.
    I called it Li-lullaby- for a baby girl. Malayalam lyrics are included in the score. Proudly, both play all the lullabies on their respective instruments giving us great pride and gratification.
