It's a thoughtful essay written in a poetical style. It describes the agony, anguish, inconvenience, lifestyle changes, and numerous miseries faced by people around the world in this horrible period of the COVID pandemic. Many experiences are indescribable, uniquely different, and personal; cannot be measured in any common units. Most are heart-wrenching. The data showing the number of infections and deaths resulting from it are extremely alarming. The consequences are severe, the extent of which is not yet fully known. In addition, many regions around the world are affected by other severe natural catastrophes swiftly destroying land, possessions, and livelihoods. Regretfully, concerted remedial actions are woefully lacking. Humanity is facing a real existential threat. This is not 'virtual', imaginary, or a fleeting nightmare of just one horrible night. Everyone must take action quickly!
