its a beautiful devotional song of worship of the sun which is the cause, sustaining power and the creator in the solar system. The gigantic and inexorable sun is the most powerful object, and stands at the center of the system it rules! Everything about it is infinitely superlative, in terms of all the parameters of temperature, pressure, size, age and any other quantities we can apply, measure and imagine. Dutifully, it sustains all its creations, consisting of the planets, all the living species-humans, plants, animals, and creatures. Every object in its domain revolves around it in constant procession, synchrony, and sympathy. Many people believe and attribute these extraordinary powers as befitting to god. The first activity in the day of the sun-worshippers is the ritualistic greeting and thanksgiving prayer. They pray for good tidings to happen and happiness to be bestowed upon them and the whole world. The sun is an active star, many lightyears away, constantly at work spewing out gas, energy, light, radiations, molten substances, and streams of yet to be discovered elements so that its creations can live, and have plenty to live on. Everything that happens is the result of its ceaseless activities. The solar wind and the much higher energy particles ejected by solar flares can exert dramatic effects on earth ranging from climate changes, magnetic fields, the captivating light shows of Aurora borealis & the Aurora Australis. All ancient civilizations revered and worshipped the sun as the almighty God for a multitude of compelling reasons!
Millions around the world still do, punctually, passionately, and devotionally. There are designated religious holidays to celebrate and commemorate the blessings from the sun. The sun signifies life, power, vitality, exuberance, energy, light, heat, universal control, and the absolute rules of nature.
